The holidays are just around the corner, so for this week, we will take a look at the upcoming holidays, what they mean to us, and how we can ensure that everyone in our reach feels loved. Although we think about our neighbors often, this time of year where it is especially important to focus our interests on the needs of others in our community. What are some ways that you can help thy neighbor? For example, Thanksgiving is approaching and this is a holiday where we spend quality time bonding with our loved ones. Are there people in our community that perhaps do not have family near by? What can we do to put a smile on their faces to make them feel special? In thinking about the next couple of months, I thought of one way I can bring cheer to those who are less mobile than I. By bringing in games, such as Bingo or Cards to a nursing home, I think I will be able to reach at least 20 of our neighbors and bring a smile to their face! The spirit of giving is wonderful!
