Community Outreach

The holidays are just around the corner, so for this week, we will take a look at the upcoming holidays, what they mean to us, and how we can ensure that everyone in our reach feels loved. Although we think about our neighbors often, this time of year where it is especially important to focus our interests on the needs of others in our community. What are some ways that you can help thy neighbor? For example, Thanksgiving is approaching and this is a holiday where we spend quality time bonding with our loved ones. Are there people in our community that perhaps do not have family near by? What can we do to put a smile on their faces to make them feel special? In thinking about the next couple of months, I thought of one way I can bring cheer to those who are less mobile than I. By bringing in games, such as Bingo or Cards to a nursing home, I think I will be able to reach at least 20 of our neighbors and bring a smile to their face! The spirit of giving is wonderful! Please let us know how you hope to bring good cheer to those around you! :)

  2. There are many ways to help people. To help your neighbor you can mow their grass. You should help your neighbors and the elderly for example to help the elderly you can bring them bingo, cards or battle ship. For the neighbors you can help trim branches. I help my brother on the iPad and the computer if he needs it. You could help your mom or dad by setting the table, or washing the dishes, or if you know a lot about electronics you can help your mom or dad on the computer. There is so much to help with. You could water the plant or help a relative. You could take out and in the trash or vacuum. Help any body that you could and if you are allowed to. You can help your little brother or sister with homework. If your brother or sister wants to learn something you know you could teach them.
