Dear Friends,
This summer was packed filled with fun and excitement! Traveling to Yosemite was definitely a highlight. After about an 8 hour drive through the varied landscapes along highway 5, including the rolling hills of central California, we arrived at Yosemite National Park. It was our 5th annual camping trip at House Keeping camp where we slept in cots, roasted marshmallows, and played in the Merced River. Of course, we searched for wildlife and saw a family of deer, bold blue jay birds, an overabundance of very sneaky squirrels (whom got a little too friendly with Brooke), and believe it or not, a large mama bear strolling past our camp fire just about 15 feet away. The topper for me was climbing boulders all the way to where we could feel the refreshing spray of Yosemite Falls and riding our bikes throughout the glorious valley floor filled with meadows and baby blue butterflies. What a summer! I can't wait for next summer to recapture some of the great memories, this time a year older. I wonder what a year of change will bring. I look forward to hearing all about your summertime highlights. There's nothing like having time to bond with family and friends to sharpen the saw and rejuvenate. This is what I did over summer. I went to Palm Springs with my cousens, my grandma and grandpa, and my neighbors. It was so fun and it was so hot. I even got a little sunburn! I also went on the waterslides and in the pool. I stayed for a week and I had a lot of fun. I love Palm Springs.
This summer I also went to Big Bear. I went fishing and on my grandpas boat. I got to see the fireworks on 4th of July from the boat. I went roolrblading and also saw the movie brave and got ice cream in the village. One hot day me and my sister and my cousen jumped in to the lake and it was so cold. I had a awesome and great time. I had the best summer ever!
Over the summer I had a sleepover with my bst friend Ireland. We had a water balloon fight on my trampoline. After that, we dried off and cleaned the trampoline, then we changed. After that we jumped till dinner. We ate pizza. We got to make little pizzas. They were delicious.
ReplyDeleteThe next day we ate breakfast. I had a glass of milk with cereal, she just had juice because she's allergic to milk. Then we went to the pool. After that she had to leave.
We had a lot of fun.

ReplyDeleteMy time at Palm Springs
I went to Palm Springs with my family and friends over the summer. I went with the Muldowney Family, Shane, Kate, Mr. Peter and Miss Lisa. I stayed at a hotel with a water slide. The pools were really big and the weather was 110 degrees. It was very hot.
When we were I went fishing. I caught huge bass, but my sisters and friends caught mostly catfish. We went miniature golfing and Shane and I went putting and I won. I saw Men In Black 3, and I liked it a lot. I ate at the Cheesecake Factory and we saw some other friends at our hotel and I had a play date in their room. We went out to dinner with the Muldowney's.
When we at the Cheesecake Factory, we went outside and there was a stage there we played on. I played my ipod music and we were dancing to it. I liked it a lot and want to go back next summer.

My summer highlight was going to my Grandma’s house. At my grandmas house I was with my family and grandma and my aunt and uncle and my two cousins Chris and Dan. We met our cousins there. We went in the pool every day except 1 day because it was thundering. It was fun we played Volleyball. We saw a couple of flying squirrels. And we went on a pontoon boat we saw 4 alligators and 19 turtles. It was so special because I was with my family, Grandma, Aunt, Uncle and two cousins who I don’t get to see very often because they live on the east coast.

ReplyDeletei went to denver and had so much fun with my family.i was in a wedding, in the mountains. i was a ring bearer for my cousin.i went to vail and bounced on a trampoline at the top of the mountain. me and my brother did a double black flip. vail is 11,570 ft above sea level. we went river rafting in the colorado rier the water was very cold. i jumped in. colorado was fun, i want to go back in the winter

ReplyDeleteTHIS SUMMER WE TOOK A ROAD TRIP TO SAN DIEGO. I USED TO LIVE FAR AWAY. WE FINALLY GOT TO SEA WORLD. IT WAS SUCH A WARM DAY. I GOT A CHANCE TO INVITE OLIVIA. OLIVIA AND I HAD THE CHANCE TO WAIT IN LONG LINES AND FINALLY WE GOT THE CHANCE TO RIDE MY FAVORITE RIDE WHICH WAS A WATER RIDE. IT GOT US ALL WET. IT ALSO WENT VERY FAST. THEN WE HAD THE CHANCE TO WATCH A SHOW. THESE DANCERS DID ALL KINDS OF CART WHEELS, BACK FLIPS AND DIVING IN THE WATER. I REALLY LOVED THIS. MAYBE ONE DAY I WILL GET A JOB THERE. I REALLY HOPE TO MAKE IT BACK THERE ONE DAY REALLY SOON. THE BLUE, BIG WHALES WERE SO BEAUTIFUL

ReplyDeleteI had a great summer. This summer I went to Texes and ran a 1500 and an 800. It was so hot. I qulified for the 800 and the 1500 by running in races and practicing 3 days a week with my track team. It is called sandiago socal rode runners. My coaches name is Coach Mena. I had to drink a lot of water because it was so hot. My goal was to try to get a medil. If you were in the top eight you would get a nicinal medal. In the 800 I got 12th place. In the 1500 I got 6th place. I was very happy to get a medil and I got to stand on the podium!
On the last day I went to Six Flags and I rode the log ride, the hat, a boat, and many more. I rode the hat 4 times and I even got a pink pony from the games that I played. I beat my brother in squirting water in the hole. my family stayed until it closed.
Next I went home and it felt cold. I had a great time in texas.

ReplyDeleteOver the summer I went to alot of places. I had alot of fun when I went to legoland, sea life aquarium, legoland waterpark, chucke e cheeses, the beach, birthday parties, and many parks, and the San Diego county fair. I had lots of fun in these places with my family and one friend of mine that sometimes went with me and my family to these places.
During the summer I went to big bear with my family. We rented a cabin with my aunt and a uncle and two cousins. While we stayed there we went boiling. My brother one. We then went back to the cabin we jumped in the jacuzzi. When we got out we watched movies and played games and made s'mores. The next day my uncle cooked us breakfast it was so good. Then we came back home but before that we went to my gramas house. I had fun! Jesse
